Here a rumor from Gamasutra is that the new launch of PS3 will come with a gigantic price band of 8,800 ($75) to 9,800 ($84) to the Japanese gamers that will make the cost of the console comparable to that of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.
I think the price fluctuation is a kind of habit in Japan gaming market. I guess you remember the release of Nintendo DS title Final Fantasy III with increased cost. The similar incidents are going to be repeated Xbox’s titles Dead Rising and Lost Planet.
If the rumor comes out to be factual, the deed would definitely affect or deduct the PS cadres.
