Right after the epic announcement of StarCraft II in Seoul, South Korea, here comes one more debut i.e. Sony’s 80GB PlayStation 3. After putting an end to the 20GB model, it seems that they are going to phase out 60GB too. When PS3 rolls out in Korea on June 16th, it will merely be the 80GB unit.
The latest SKU is going to be launched but for the Emotion Engine, which is utilized to help try to be like PS2 and PS1 games. The latest SKU is to be put for sale for 518,000 Won, which is almost $573 US with tax.
Well despite being the rumors of a higher capacity PlayStation 3 for quite a few months now, nobody could guesstimate that the first 80GB model would hit the selves of not Japan or the US, but South Korea. And it is only a matter of time for the latest model to hit North American shores as this version has already been okayed by FCC.
