Dolby and Nintendo team-up to bring Dolby’s Pro Logic II technology to Wii. Dolby Laboratories announced that WII next-generation game console will support Dolby Digital surround sound.
Koji Kondo, Manager, Sound Group, Entertainment Analysis and Development Division, Nintendo Co. Ltd said that sound is the key part that could not be compromised and the gamers will receive the quality audio experience. Meanwhile John Griffin, Marketing Director of Games and Dolby Laboratories said:
Dolby Pro Logic II technology ensures that the Wii console can offer rich, immersive surround sound, which is essential to a great gaming experience. We’re looking forward to hearing how great Nintendo’s games sound at launch.
